Good size Villa with good facilities

We already communicated to our host that the cleanliness was below an acceptable standard specifically:- 1. The bed linen in the downstairs bedroom was musty smelling 2. The bathrooms could all do with a deep clean. The sinks in particular had orange staining around the taps. The sink upstairs in bathroom was not draining so we took the plug out and found congealed hair and even a packing label. 3. The kitchen cupboards were dusty and a number of the utensils had to be washed before we could use them.

We stayed at this property for 3 nights during the summer with our family and dog, expecting a relaxing holiday by the beach with a private pool and a secure backyard as promised. Unfortunately, while we initially understood some of the issues were beyond the owner's control, the way things were handled later left us disappointed. Upon arrival, we were informed that the pool was unusable due to damage caused by previous guests and that the electronic gate wasn’t working. While this was unfortunate, we understood these were not the owner’s fault, and they did try to resolve the issues. However, the pool remained dirty for most of our stay, and we didn’t feel comfortable using it, especially with a child in our group. The gate, which was important for our dog’s safety, was only fixed at the end of our stay. Given these issues, we discussed adjusting the price with the owner, who agreed at the time. But after that, all our attempts to follow up—via calls and messages—were ignored. This lack of communication and follow-through really disappointed us and felt like bad faith, especially since we had been understanding and patient at the start.

The house was super spacious, had everything we needed in terms of kitchen supplies etc and there were beautiful features that weren't pictured in the ad (such as a stunning rooftop terrace and large outdoor area downstairs).

Late check-in time (4pm), even though we'd agreed an early check-in in advance, and there was an earlier check-out time than we thought (Booking.com said 12pm but we had to leave by 11am). The drain in one of the upstairs bathrooms was blocked.

Lovely large villa so well equipped and lovely pool just what you need for a relaxing holiday. Very quiet area but within walking distance of the bars and restaurants The Ubers were quick and easy if you didn’t fancy tackling the hill in the heat.

- stank in benedenbadkamer was erg hardnekkig ( geur van riool ) - slaapkamer beneden : ladenkast rook erg vochtig, waardoor de hele kamer wat muf rook en je geen kleding in deze ladenkast kon leggen - rommel in de hoek van het benedenterras ( oude zetels, kapotte frigo, … )

The property is spacious and well-appointed, with plenty of outdoor areas to make best use of the wonderful weather. It is only a short, walk down into Carvoiero, which has a lovely beach and boardwalk to explore.

The drainage in one of the bathrooms was slightly problematic; however, the local staff were excellent in helping out with the matter.

Fantastic, spacious house suitable for large group. All mod cons available. Spotless rooms. Plenty of delph and cutlery. Great supply of extras such as shopping bags, cleaning agents and toys for the pool.
