Unit 11 Waena Inn- Newly Renovated Maui Private Suite

The cleanliness of this apartment matches up to the photos displayed on the website. There were issues (see What I didn't like) but the support phone number was excellent. There were there to answer questions and emergencies no matter what time of the day.

For an apartment, this place lacks furniture to sit (there were only 2 chairs and a table) and put your belongings. However, it does have enough kitchen utensils. This facility could use better inventory tracking. I booked Apt 17... after getting my confirmation before I check in. I got a call from the manager saying Apt 17 was actually occupied and I was assigned Apt 15. On my second night, my assigned parking space #15 was occupied when I returned to the apartment at 8:30PM. When I call the office, I was told to park between slots 22 to 25. You do need a car to make this place work.

Clean, comfortable and close to grocery and shopping. Friendly staff

The room was recently remodeled. The kitchenette includes everything necessary except for a real range. You can see a big green mountain from the window. It's centrally located (e.g. the road to Hana is as easy to get to as southern beaches) and so is perfect for first-time visitors who are not biased towards a specific destination.

The only minor nuisance is that there's only one window curtain layer. So you either close them for the night or let passerbys see what's going on inside. It would be nice to have a second translucent layer.
