Charming 3 storey apartment in Valletta centre, NGRI1-1

This is a quirky apartment in a great location at the top of Valletta. It has all the advertised facilities (including good hot water) but it is all a little tired. I'm not sure if that is Malta overall or just this apartment. For the right couple, this would be a great stay in an offbeat apartment with a roof terrace for soaking up the sun. If you have any mobility issues, are over 6ft, or otherwise large person, you might find this a bit restrictive. The first 2 flights of stairs are normal, but the 3 flights of stairs to bathroom, sitting area and rooftop are a narrow spiral staircase. The kitchen is very small - fine for 1 person to prepare breakfast and/or do the washing up. Don't expect to cook here either - it's all a bit old fashioned and/or bespoke with labels on devices and windows and switches. The electric 2 ring stove is the same model I had in my student days (many years ago) and the iron is older. Cutlery and crockery have seen better days. The washing machine is new. The bed is a standard double. the TV is smart. All good.

The apartment did not feel fresh - a lot of the cutlery, crockery, linen and small electrical items could do with replacement. Not expensive items - washing machine, TV and fridge all good. The kitchen is very small - fine for 1 person to prepare breakfast and/or do the washing up. Don't expect to cook here either - it's all a bit old fashioned and/or bespoke with labels on devices and windows and switches. The curtains across the Maltese balcony in the bedroom do not fully close out the light, nor fully open. I did use ear plugs due to some noise at night from the pub opposite, but my husband was not disturbed.

Beautiful flat if you like something different, nice decoration and comfortable bed. Well located in a quiet part of central Valletta. The stairs are lovely.

The water pressure is a thing in Valletta however we can adapt and the shower worked perfectly

The apartment is very rustic and at the same time very modern. It is clean. Location is great.

Super central location yet a little bit on the side so it is not so noisy. Great rooftop to enjoy the stars with a bottle of wine ;)

Great location, cool during warm weather, character in the old building where it’s situated. Fantastic smart TV and great kitchen appliances for those who would like to use them while on their stay. Good and powerful air conditioning which was highly customisable

Shower could’ve been more powerful, drains water slowly.

The location is incredible, check in was easy, and the place was quite clean and comfortable. The view from the rooftop is stunning. It made the experience so much more memorable to be able to sit up there at night and look out on the city.

The bathroom is up a small set of winding stairs. This is somewhat expected in the old town, but it gets incredibly hot in there with little to no effective method of cooling it down. This was really the only negative of the stay.

Very close to the valletta centre. Interesting layout and roof access. Felt authentic.

The upstairs room could not be cooled down at all and there is not much fresh air going around there.
