We had a great time staying at Paolo's place! Paolo was great at communicating with us throughout the stay, offering local tips, and even left us a bottle of wine & water to welcome us. Grazie Paolo! The house has many large & distinct spaces to spend time in, and every room is tastefully decorated while staying true to the authenticity of the place. The house stayed pretty cool during the day, and the AC upstairs was wonderful to have. The kitchen has everything you need for your stay, including the basic necessities like coffee pods, sugar, salt, oil & vinegar. The fridge and freezer were large, and we appreciated having access to a toaster, and even an oven. The bathrooms were large and comfortable, and everything was absolutely spotless! Most windows have screens to protect against mosquitos, which were really helpful! We especially enjoyed the large sunny terrace on the 1st floor, where we spent most of our time. It's a lovely space to read, eat and nap. You will not regret your stay!

Nothing to do with the house itself, and only relevant if you travel with your dog: There are dogs on both sides of the house, which led to big barking fits whenever we left the house on either side. While the garden is safely fenced on all sides, the dogs on one of the sides can still look into your garden through the bushes, so using the garden was not as comfortable as we thought it would be for our anxious dog. Casalrosso is a very small suburb of Lignana, it's perfect for those traveling with a car who would like to explore other towns in Piemonte. That being said, we found it a bit hard to go for a walk around the area without having to drive somewhere first. There is a lovely cafe in Lignana proper, which is only a 25-minute walk, but it involves walking a small stretch on the highway. Unfortunately, the other cafe in Casalrosso was closed for the holidays during our stay. That being said, the town's very peaceful, and there are plenty of stores, supermarkets & gyms just a short drive away.

Spacious, tidy, and spotlessly clean. Unfortunately, I was just passing through and could only stay for one night, but it was a truly pleasant experience. The house is much larger and more comfortable compared to the tiny rooms offered by many hotels at only slightly lower prices. Paolo, the owner, was extremely kind and helpful. I will definitely return as soon as I get the chance!
