JXB HOMES - Lovely and spacious rooms

The location was great for what we needed it for.

When we arrived at 3pm we entered to find a dirty house. When speaking to the owner he said the cleaners would arrive after we left... On our return the beds appeared clean however the kitchen was still dirty, there was oil all over the oven, shoes everywhere, dirty cups and glasses in the sink, a fridge still full of food. The whole house needs redecorating, carpet is damaged throughout the house, the mattresses are poor quality. I also sent a £100 damage deposit which I am still trying to get back from the owner even though it's been over a week. I would not recommend a stay here

How the room can be described as spacious and luxurious I do not know. Bed uncomfortable. Cover filthy. Television resting on the white mirror unit. no easy accessible plug sockets

Room had people’s rubbish from previous stay. Fire alarm constantly beeped. Generally didn’t feel very clean. Lack of human contact

Lovely big bedrooms and felt like I was home. Great to have a garden to use in the sun.

Unfortunately the property was not as advertised

Unfortunately the property was not as advertised, we had to wait longer for check in as there was a party the night before and place wasn’t in the best condition. Strong smoking smell in the living room (and it wasn’t from the previous night only). Bedroom nr3 has a terrible mattress, you can feel the springs in your back, so no rest :) no towel provided, even a small one. The second bedroom (nr5) was better, comfortable mattress and we had a towel, yay :) Average cleanliness of the property probably 4. Sorry, but this is the least liked accommodation I’ve stayed at in the past 8 years, and I’ve seen a couple of places. With a good clean, maybe stricter rules, and a big of more involvement from host side, those £110/night per room might be worth it, but now feels like a rip off. Sorry.

Jay was so lovely and helping out with recommondations and was available whenever I had a question. The room and shared facilities were immaculate clean and the location is a short walk to the beach. :)
