Its location is amazing so much to watch over the harbour just like a home from home every thing there you need

The inside was quite nice and comfortable with a nice view and good location.

I think it does need some updating. The curtains need rehanging and probably replacing as they were a bit grubby and some of the furniture was a bit tired. The outside of the property is shockingly bad. The communal areas (stairways and outside door were extremely dirty and our shoes were sticking to the stairs. The front door is in need of a clean and repaint. The alleyway down to the property was disgustingly dirty and full of cigarette ends from the staff of the restaurants( whose back doors are in the alleyway along with about 15 huge bins. It doesn’t have any kerb appeal at all.

The window seat and proximity to the main shops/restaurants and beaches was perfect! Window seat to the sea was worth the money on its own. Furnishings were comfortable. Good communication with host when we had difficulty finding the place, reassured us in the stress of trying to get in after a long drive. Nice to have full size fridge and freezer in self catering. Had no problem receiving grocery delivery (ordered in advance) which was helpful since car access is an issue in St Ives! Having a room with single and double is so helpful with a small bed-hopping child.

Some of the lighting is really harsh, consider changing to “warm” light bulbs (especially kitchen area). The directions didn’t specifically mention the entrance is in the alley behind the chip shop (apartment is directly above), this would’ve made it much easier to find! The chipshop alley entrance is pretty grim, doorway very dirty, but the inside is perfectly clean and nice. And it’s worth it for the perfect location. More specific directions to help us identify the door would have made things so much simpler. A small thing- no cooking oil, salt, sugar. Would be good to mention to bring our own.
