Avon Hotel - Toms River

It was close to the bridge into seaside heights. It wasn’t very crowded so noise was at a minimum and the staff was very polite.

The front sliding door was broken, the back door was left unlocked for anyone to get in all night, and room was a little out dated.

It was a convenient location for places we needed to get to while in the area. The bed was also comfortable. Linens themselves were clean.

There was black mold in the closet of the room we were in, the bathtub was rather slippery and seemed to be also in disrepair. The bathroom door wouldn't close properly from misalignment. When we got in the room was super humid and took a bit to figure out working the AC to get it comfortable. The property itself had carpets not fit to the hallways and folded on themselves which could cause tripping hazards. There's tile broken in the elevator. The main entrance has a sensor for opening the door that isn't working. The laundry for cleaning staff spilled into the hallway which also felt very unprofessional.

Outdated but clean … comfortable and very affordable . I’m a neat freak and very surprised.

Dumpy rooms and absolutely horrible from desk guy. The black gentleman that worked at night all 3 nights was so rude and aggressive. Got into confrontations with guests and was very unwelcoming. Also the towels are thin and tiny and the bathroom had random hairs all around the floor and on some towels. Plus the Air Conditioner is tied into a motion sensor so when you come back to the room after a long day in the sun it’s no longer 68 degrees and instead 76. Very ghetto property but there weren’t many hotels left during an expensive July 4 weekend so I had to go with it.
