Tavern - The Blue Suite

The bed and pillows were amazingly comfortable! The room was large, as was the shower. It’s close to going to Jay Peak Ski Resort and to Quebec. There’s a nice lake nearby.

I got in on a Saturday late afternoon and barely found the last spot available out by the road to park - if you have guests arriving, it would be nice to have a spot reserved. It is over a bar but it was quiet by 10:30. No cooking other than a microwave. But there was a keurig. It was about 30-40 minutes to Jay Peak.

Very clean and cozy. Loved going downstairs to the tavern for food and drinks.

Beautiful room. Convenient to restaurants and lake. Nice artisan gallery not far from this place.

It was loud on Friday night, but we already knew it would be.

There was a mix-up with bookings. The owner was able to still get us in and accommodate our needs on a very last-minute basis. We were put in a beautiful spot and had a wonderful time! I highly recommend if you are in the Newport area, using these accommodations! The place is great, the area is beautiful and the owner is friendly and kind.

Aside from the first little snafu... nothing to complain about. Wonderful place, wonderful owner!

We have stayed here before. I always describe this place as a hidden gem. From the outside it doesn't look like much, but the rooms are spotless and comfortable. If people are headed to Canada and want a place to stay before crossimg the border or perhaps skiing Jay and don't want to pay those lodging and restaurant prices, this is the perfect option.
