Sjarmerende leilighet med glimrende beliggenhet i stille, sentrumsnært område. Veldig hyggelig vert som ikke sa nei til å slå av en prat :) Passer fint for par med eller uten små barn.

The facilities

Super Lage. Nur 5 min ins Bakklandstorget Quartier (Kanal mit den farbigen Häuser). Ruhig und gemütlich. Zum Schlafzimmer geht es durch das Bad.

Treppe ins Appartment hoch ist steil.Gut zu wissen mit schweren Koffern.

Everything was fixed as described - all the small details are taken care - smautstyr, towels, bedsheets etc. Host was a very helpful and friendly person, I am happy I got to stay at Mercury house.

Unfortunately, during the stay roads nearby was closed, but it just means that very soon it will be fully refurbished roads leading to the apartment.

Overall it was okay for our one night stay while travelling through Trondheim. It was clean.

There is roadworks happening in the location and the roadworks is incorrectly marked on google maps. This resulted in us driving around for a good while before we found our way to the house. I didn’t like the property layout - the living space is on the first floor, so if you have heavy luggage, expect some exercise. The washroom is a walkthrough one between the living room and the bedroom. The path and stairs to the property were not cleared of snow before our arrival and was extremely slippery! The owner could do some work on the hospitality side of things - first thing you see when you enter is a list of rules and associated fines. I wish I took a picture, but there were things like: - a fine for leaving excessive amount of trash - how do you define excessive amount of trash???! - damaging the towels and bed linen - sure I drove 5000km to damage your bed linen. It’s okay to have rules, but it doesn’t have to be the first thing you throw at your guests. It creates an awkward and unwelcoming feeling. There’s a rules sheet on the door which is the first thing you see when you arrive, then another full book of rules or whatever upstairs. There’s a note on the trash bin to take out the trash during check out - no thank you I have no intention slipping and injuring myself on your uncleared, snow-covered paths because of trash. And this is the type of stuff that truly made us feel unwelcome - we barely slept and decided to check out first thing in the morning - which as per my understanding was also against the rules but hey, try stopping us!
