This might be the best hotel in the world! The suite was absolutely amazing, even better than shown on the photos! Location is perfect - a pristine beach - white sand, hot clear blue waters - almost noone but some locals fishing near the sand. Some of the food is michelin star worth it - the tuna sashimi couldn't be more fresh, just perfect; the selection of wines is well worth it and the staff is the best we have ever had - professionals, elegants, eager to serve well (and oh they do!!). All the resort if of extreme elegance and good taste. Like I said - this might be the best hotel in the world! Please continue and don't change.

Since we are talking about luxury and perfection just a very small note about the bath towels - to my taste could be softer and a little bit longer. But its really a small detail, everything else was just perfect.

This place has been thoughtfully designed by the founder, Ashok who is overlooking the daily operations. Staying here is a fantastic experience in many ways. Ashok and team excel in delighting all guests, big or small.

There is an additional tax which we had to pay, although our booking mentioned including all taxes. Not all credit cards are accepted.

Distance from the airport and port

The property is absolutely gorgeous with beautiful design aesthetic and unique features. Art gallery is a nice touch. The white sand beach is lovely, and the food was also quite tasty, fresh and with good variety. The spa services were excellent.

The Aiyana describes itself as a five-star luxury resort, and it may look like one on paper and in design, but it is far from it in service and experience. We found ourselves having to ask multiple times over for things to actually receive them (and I'm talking basics here like water at meals or to get soap in our room). While the villas are spacious and lovely, the air con is horrible and does not work well enough to keep the whole space cool, resulting in you having to close off sections just to keep the main sleeping quarters a reasonable temperature, leaving the bathroom and other areas feeling like a sauna every time you have to enter it. We arranged an airport transfer from the hotel for our flight and the driver was more than 20 minutes late. After asking repeatedly what was happening, I walked down the driveway to see what was going on and found that they had used our airport transfer to deliver supplies for the hotel (which would be fine if they were then on time for our needed departure time), so we were late to the airport because they used the guest vehicle as a supply transfer. While generally a nice stay, every day we were met with some sort of frustration that unfortunately added up to make this stay far from the relaxing luxury experience they sell it as. Not worth the expense. P.S. Since I notice someone else called it out in their review, I'll also note that the wine was indeed an issue. They make a point to show off their wine cellar, but their menu is very limited and with prices almost double what we paid for the same bottles at other properties in Zanzibar. They also consistently would bring a different year than what was listed on the menu and try to sell it for the same price, not acknowledging that the year can make quite a difference in the wines produced.

The most beautiful hotel I've ever seen.The room is auperb, the staff, the food!!!!
