Hotel Oasis & Surf Camp

If you want to surf and relax then this is the best place in Santa Catalina. The cabins are literally on the beach- walk out the front door and you’re surfing. It’s a bit of a walk to town but well worth it and you can drive if you don’t want to walk. The cabana were beautiful with a view of the ocean. Not sure about the prior negative reviews- we found the noise to be non existent (altho it was during the week), the staff were lovely, and the river crossing is literally just ankle deep water and did not impede our travel in any way. Would absolutely stay here again

Loved it all! While they have boards you can rent most are foam tops/ for beginners. But you can just go across the river to rancho estero and rent a board from there

La ubicación y Manuel, el señor de los cocos que era encantador.

La ubicación estaba bien pero el personal de recepción y algunos del restaurante eran bastante desagradables, parecía que les molestaba que les preguntases o pidieses algo. Por otro lado, el sitio está bastante “dejado” y le faltan servicios básicos que otros hoteles de la zona de precio similar ofrecen como el bambuda donde el personal es muchísimo más amable. Por ejemplo, no tienen agua gratuita para poder coger algo esencial teniendo en cuenta que el hotel está lejos de todo y que la recepción y el bar / restaurante cierran muy pronto por lo que si no la has comprado previamente a cierta hora de la noche no tienes forma de poder acceder a ella. Cuando llegamos el primer día nos dijeron que para gestionar el servicio de shuttle debíamos avisar un día antes, y cuando lo hicimos así nos dijeron que avisando con esa antelación no podían asegurarnos plaza… Como punto adicional, sería recomendable que tuviesen alquiler de bicis o algo ya que está bastante alejado de todo.
