The key code would not be provided until £150 had been paid by bank transfer. There message requesting money came to us on the morning of check in. The website states £150 may be requested AT CHECKOUT if there is damage.The money was paid back to us quickly at checkout. I appreciate the host may have been stung in the past by guests causing damage, but asking for money via bank transfer before keys are handed over gives a very dodgy vibe. Given we had already fully paid for the accommodation and it was non refundable, they have you over a barrel. If you don't pay, you would literally have nowhere to stay and would lose all the money spent on the initial booking. No WiFi on the first night, a message came up that wifi had to be paid for. The host did come out the following morning and fixed this. Property is not in a great area.

Very noisy neighbours, didn’t let me sleep one bit I had been up all night then they were shouting on the street. The owner said he would meet me at the property, but t didn’t answer his phone. In the evening there was a car parked outside the property, which had two people in it. I found it intimidating and was outside the house for a while. I left an item at the property and they were not helpful to give it back.
