2 bed barn with spectacular views - Wye Valley

We had a wonderful relaxing week in Symonds Yat. The barn is comfortable, clean, super dog friendly, and in a great location for walks. We had a fun afternoon hiring a canoe through Yofi, and had several lovely meals in the Old Ferrie Inn. The barn also had a bbq which we made the most of during the warm weather. Helen in particular was a brilliant host, especially when our dog was poorly. We really appreciated her quick responses, help and understanding.

The only downside is the lack of dishwasher, which is pretty standard usually.

Nothing this place was perfect.

The property was spacious, clean and well maintained. The rooms were well decorated with comfortable mattresses. The living room was perfect and had everything you’d need. The outdoor space was awesome with spectacular views.

I couldn’t fault the place.

Loved the homely feel, and coziness. Loved the position, the area, and the facilities. Everything you needed was provided, and the cleanliness of the furnishings, the bedding, the utensils was faultless.

There was nothing really to fault. Others who have stayed there may have had different standards or expectations to ours, but there isn’t a single thing that we could fault.

The location was great to explore the local area.

Prior knowledge before booking that a deposit would be required ( this being asked for the night before our arrival) and that there were stringent rules to abide to, making me feel uncomfortable in the property, the complete opposite to a relaxing break that was much needed. Dogs are extra too, which we found out after we left the property and were charged for ( taken from the deposit). Although the hosts saw our dog and did not say anything. The host, I felt was quite rude, and I would not stay here again.
