There could’ve been a few more untesils in the kitchen, pans etc and the patio cleaned up so you can sit outside.

There was not much to like about this place. It was somewhat clean but not to the level that you'd expect. The kitchen had broken dishes and was missing some essential utensils needed. It also had a small table with 3 chairs, even though the apartment is advertised as being for 6 people. The decor in the apartment is old and needs an uplift (e.g. wallpaper is ripped and peeling from the walls). There is a "living room" but it has the 2 single beds, so once my kids went to bed there was no place for the adults to spend the evening. All in all, the place was not at all comfortable to stay.

When we arrived the heat would not come on. The boiler is from the 1970s and should have been replaced decades ago. I rang the emergency number and it took many attempts to get someone on the phone. They were unable to help and after the first call would no longer answer the phone. Messaging the owners over the booking.com app was somewhat successful but it was not until the afternoon the next day that the heating was fixed, meaning we spent our first night freezing. The owners are in another country and could not do much to help, although I do believe that they wanted to help, but with the apartment freezing and my kids and in-laws all paying the price for my choice, that didn't really do much to make up for the situation. When we arrived, there was no internet. I managed to boot the 4G router and eventually figure out how to get it working, but it was slower than just using my phone. I could not get faster than about 1.5Mbps download and 0.1 upload. To say that the place has "free wifi" is technically true but practically not. Also, the advert for the place said there was a flat screen TV, but there was no TV at all, and with such poor internet, streaming onto devices we brought with us was also not an option. Furthermore, with no real living room and a small kitchen with only 3 chairs at the table, there was nowhere to spend time in the apartment when we were not sleeping. All of this would almost be laughable if we hadn't spent a small fortune to stay here. If I was a university student looking for very basic accommodation on my own it would have been tolerable, but considering how it was advertised, it definitely didn't meet expectations. I would definitely look elsewhere before even considering staying here ... you will be disappointed.

Good location with easy walk to transport links, shopping, places to eat and sightseeing.

Flat had not been cleaned prior to arrival. Host responded quickly and arranged cleaner but still not cleaned to a satisfactory level - possibly because this was then rushed. Flat was cold with an old heating system which was difficult to work. Would benefit from general upgrading and maintenance.
