Oporto River View 2 Bed

The apartment is the historical city center and has a lovely view on the Douro river from the kitchen/living room area. Kitchen was for the size well-equipped. It was clean.

The apartment does NOT have 90m2, more like 50m2! This is very misleading! For 4 people, it's really small. The bathroom is tiny and there is no space to leave your stuff when you shower (besides on the closed toilet seat). There is a second toilet (very necessary if you travel with another couple), but it's next to the kitchen/living room area and closes with a sliding door - zero privacy, very weird to use while other people are sitting in the living room. There are signs of humidity problems in the bathroom, the ceiling is stained brown in places. The bedrooms are overlooking the street, so when it gets hot, you would want to sleep with open windows, but the noise from the street will definitely not let you. There is an air conditioning but it's in the living room (which is separated from the bedrooms with a hall), so if you want to have somewhat decent room temperature while you sleep, you need to keep all the doors open. Again, no privacy. For the price we paid, we expected to have a bit more comfortable stay.

It was all good.

The location was great, the size of the apartment was god, the mirrors in the living room, and bathrooms were useful (except the full body one inside the shower) The view was lovely. The apartment was clean and had all the necessary amenities

The shower sinks were too small, and the shelf on top of them made them even harder to use when washing our faces. The lock for the main door of the building doesn't match the key exactly and needs a little "trick" to be opened which we had to be taught to use.

The apartment was large enough for the four of us and had two toilets. One in the shower room and one off the lounge (this one was unexpected). The kitchen had good appliances and we were able to cook our breakfast here. The lounge was comfortable and there was space to eat. The host was very quick to respond to any questions we had and helped us access the property. The property was clean, quiet, well resourced (ironing board and iron, hairdryer, etc) and had an exceptional view of the river. It was beautiful to look at this view both by day and night. The central location of the property meant that we could easily access most of the main attractions.

Beautiful view over the Duoro River from the balcony. Fantastic location closeby to all the major attractions in Riberia. Smashing 2-bed apartment, spotlessly clean, very well equipped with all necessities. Excellent communication with proprietor prior to & during stay. Secure & efficient access process.

It’s a beautiful apartment with a fabulous view. Although the accommodation is within easy reach of bars and restaurants, it was very peaceful. There’s a bar with a terrace to the back of the property which was closed for Easter. It may be much noisier when this is open.
