Fantastic location near town and in a compound that is right on the beach (though the villa itself is the furthest one from the beach and doesn't have a beach view), and two amazing pools. We loved the outdoor seating area. Decor is lovely.

I didn't sleep for all three nights of my stay. The villa is immediately next to the road - traffic noise (tuk-tuks and motorbikes) is really bad in the bedrooms. This is worse early in the night, but does get better after midnight. For me the main issue is that the fan in the main bedroom is not above the bed and does not help with airflow while sleeping AT ALL - even though the temperatures were lower than usual for the time of year, it was absolutely sweltering in bed. The mosquito net seemed nice and new, but in fact isn't quite long enough to prevent mosquitos from sneaking underneath.

Everything - Right from the newest Villa 16A & B to the swimming poor - actually, they are two, not congested, very clean. We really enjoyed 😉.

The furniture design / colour, lighting, curtains; I mean everything - it was like home. Location - right at the beach.

The villa was tastefully decorated and spacious. It was immaculately clean. The housekeeper was attentive and kind. We took our own chef and the kitchen facilties were well used by her. The location was beautiful and the pools clean and uncrowded.

The host was initially polite and responsive. Unfortunately, we broke an artefact on arrival by accidentally knocking it with one of our cases. We were happy to pay for a replacement, of course. In the master bedroom, the ceiling fan was dangerously close to the mosquito net. The housekeeper pointed out to me that it had a tear in it. I don't believe I caused this. The host insisted that we pay 10,000 ksh for a replacement. My friends, all Kenyans, knew this was a vastly inflated price, so I asked if we could halve it (still way more than the actual cost of a replacement) as I didn't believe I had caused this damage. I explained politely that during our stay, we had also been disturbed from 8.00 am every single morning by undisclosed construction works on the site. At this point, the host no longer communicated with me and simply told the housekeeper to arrive early on the day of our departure to ensure we did not leave without paying. This was disrespectful and unnecessary and caused my last day, evening, and morning to be filled with anxiety. The host also informed the security guard that we were not to be allowed to leave. Therefore, I was strong armed into paying the extortionate fees to avoid a scary confrontation that could have escalated and meant we missed our return flights. Very disappointing indeed.

The property was very private, despite being located among other cottages. Both kitchens were well stocked with utensils, and the housekeeper was readily available if anything was needed. Villa was well-maintained, facilities were great and I would highly recommend and definitely plan a revisit.

Excellent place with amazing beach and pool. Great host .. very helpful with any needs or recommendations we had. Would highly recommend !
