Maga Mirò - Guest House

Very clean, very centrally located, excellent shower, beautiful bathroom, plentiful breakfast items of high quality, great coffee. What i really appreciated was the though that went into what was offered eg a second chaiir in the room, oil, salt, pepper, vinegar (items which are frequently ignored by other guest houses). The plates and pans offered were all in good condition (not left over, broken items as in many other hotels). Overall, wonderful presentation and thoughtfulness. Excellent response to communication and very friendly.

Maga Mirò is a very well-maintained and well-managed “bed and breakfast” property that’s located on the third floor of an old, multi-use building situated in the middle of Salerno. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the beachfront and port, where ferries run multiple times a day to all the towns along the Amalfi Coast. There are also many very good restaurants and a fine little supermarket nearby, so the location is actually very good. The host was a very proactive communicator, and even though she was not available to meet us at check-in as we originally planned, her father (who was terrific and very sweet, but did not speak English) greeted us in person and showed us to our room. Our room was clean and well-appointed, but felt somewhat cramped once we moved in all our luggage. The breakfast area was also a bit claustrophobic, especially when guests from all three rooms were present to eat at the same time. And while there is a large quantity of items available for breakfast, almost all are pre-packaged bread products. There is some meat, cheese, yogurt, milk, and juice available, but nothing fresh. Good coffee-making machine, lots of tea, and freshly chilled bottled water are nice touches. Overall, Maga Mirò is very good, budget-friendly option for travelers who want to tour the Amalfi Coast without breaking the bank.
