San Lameer Villa 3112 Top Destinations Rentals

It was well built and in a great position on the property.

It wasn’t cleaned on the second day and I had to wash the dishes and enquire about Dstv, which we couldn’t figure out. A booklet with how to or other instruction would’ve been great.

The chalet was not very clean on arrival. The bear minimum had been done and under couches or beds had not been cleaned at all. The top bathroom shower leaked and on arrival after flushing the bottom bathroom toilet the sewerage came up in the bath shower. That was very off-putting and we ended up not using the bottom bathroom at all for the entire stay. Someone did come to attend to it but was still off putting. The sliding doors in the lounge area did not lock.

We absolutely loved this house in San Lameer! Everything was clean, comfy, and it really felt like home, we will be going back!

Very small things to note: House cleaning came in on Day 2 without any notice. We had left valuables out and were not aware that anyone would be coming to clean during our stay. This needs to be communicated with guests to ensure safety. House cleaning did leave us with dishwashing powder, but it was far too little - either ask guests to provide their own cleaning supplies or provide enough. The shower in the bath leaks all over the floor, almost flooding the bathroom. The tv in the upstairs bedroom needs to be replaced or fixed.

Location of the villa was great. Villa was spacious and tastefully furnished, had a good range of utensils etc. Major plus factors were the wifi, Jojo and inverter which came in handy when there was a storm that caused a power failure. The aircons in the bedrooms were also appreciated. The pools and slides were really enjoyed by the kids, would have liked if the pool was heated though. The kids loved the jungle gyms that were found in various places.

Top destinations was not always reachable. After a raging storm, sewer water started to fill the downstairs bathtub, the stench and filth was horrible. After speaking to housekeeping the next day maintenance was sent, but it was not sorted out. There were several attempts to contact top destinations to no avail. The downstairs bathroom could not be used at all, as everytime the bathtub upstairs was used, and the water was drained, the tub downstairs would fill again with muck. This was horrific, unhygienic and a health hazard in my opinion. We finally got hold of George from Top destinations who was pretty rude and seemed uninterested in our concerns. We asked about access for visitors, and he insisted he needed 48 hrs notice. This is unacceptable as no where was this stated or brought to our attention. When we told him that we also tried calling several times and there was no answer, his response was that " well other people got through". I was very disappointed with the attitude and service received. He did send maintenance over again for the bathtub issue, and the man who came this time seemed to know what to do, as it was more to do with an issue from outside. Housekeeping was not everyday, so I did expect better cleaning on the days that it was cleaned. Bath towels and floor mats were sometimes forgotten to be replaced, and the kitchen was not cleaned very well- kitchen towels and cloths were left filthy and not changed.
