Guests highly rate the fun location and frequently praise the spacious and modern apartment.
NLfun location, close to beaches, shops and restaurants. very spacious and wel equiped appartment.
noise. starting from 5.30 the service trucks. throughout the day the crowds in the street and at night the pub goers. but if that does not bother you then alls fine.
GBVery nice accommodation and the two showers were great.
Very noisy location. Whilst a quaint location in the heart of the town, the local pub had live music until 11.30pm on several nights and vehicles delivering various stock arrived some mornings at 5.30am. Windows need to be double or triple glazing.
GBThe apartment was spacious and modern with pleasant decoration and very clean. Towels and bedding were provided along with washing up liquid, one bin bag and three dishwasher tablets. The apartment was situated very close to all amenities, just a short walking distance from the harbour.
We were aware that the apartment was above a shop, but didn't realise we would have to climb over 30 steep steps to reach the apartment; this was really challenging for those with mobility issues and that information should be better advertised. The noise from the street was overwhelming; even with just a few people talking it echoes through the street; when the pub was open and music playing it was very loud. As the apartment has no air conditioning, the windows needed to be open so sleep was challenging. We were unfortunate enough to have neighbours from hell in the flat above us who were drunk, arguing, screaming, relentlessly buzzing our buzzer, banging our door and even walking in to our apartment thinking it was theirs. When the washing machine door wouldn't open I called the number to ask for assistance - that was challenging in it's own right as there is no signal on the phones and the wifi would often stop working and need to be turned off and back on. Unfortunately all of our towels were in the washing machine. They were unable to sort an engineer until the next day which was fine, but nobody helped us with extra towels as requested and the message they left me to advise what was happening was left on my HOME answering machine (luckily, they did follow it up with an email). The description of the apartment states parking nearby. There is no way you can park nearby! The nearest parking is very far away and costly. There is a bus available, but again, a charge is associated with this. The instructions in the welcome folder stated there should be a fire extinguisher and torch but these were nowhere to be found. The toilet seat in the en suite bathroom did not fit the toilet, making it difficult to use.
GBGreat layout, clean, tidy, perfect location, 👌
Air con would have been good, but was still amazing without.
IEThe location
There was no parking when it said there was
GBModern contemporary well decorated flat close to the centre of St Ives. Comfortable with everything provided you would need for a great holiday. Two separate bathrooms.
On arrival, the entrance hall and 1st flight of stairs we're dirty. Not vacuumed and quite stained. Certainly not welcoming! The 2nd set of stairs were very narrow, restricting carrying up personal belongings (there were 2 flights of stairs to the 2nd floor apartment). On entering the flat we noticed that most of the floors in the flat were dirty, stained ans covered with sand and dog hairs. Obviously, notbeen cleaned. We had to clean the floors before we could unpack and enjoy our holiday. The road outside was a little noisy on an evening and into the night making getting to sleep difficult as the noise sometimes, carried on into the early hours. There was a potential fire hazard with a bin store (2nd floor). Should have had a self-closer on the door leading onto the landing as the store compromised our escape route in the event of a fire.
GBClean and modern, spacious for st Ives and central
The street was very noisy over the weekend, late at night and early mornings. Not restful. Good location if you like late nights out. The property itself was lovely
GBVery modern and central.
Door to 2nd bedroom catching. Very noisy when street cleaning and rubbish collection starts 05:00😳
GBFacilities were awesome.
All good
