Downtown Boone ON King Street - 2 Bedroom Home

Location was ideal- walking distance to downtown Boone!

Beds were so uncomfortable that we decided to leave after one night. Visible sagging- one of the mattresses you could actually feel the bed springs when lying on it. Owner was receptive to our complaints- however it would have been appropriate to at least offer some sort of a refund for our inconvenience and discomfort.

It was in a centric location.

One of the bathroom was not working and the other was too too small. Shower was not functioning well.

Convenient to downtown

Was a little challenging to open and close the side door It was kinda stuck

location is great- less than 5 minute walk and you can be in the heart of Boone. i think this is the only rental house this close to town. The house is spacious. We like having some grassy areas for the pups - this house has a very small area of grass behind the house and 2 small areas of grass off the front porch. The covered porch is really nice. One of the bedrooms is a Master bedroom with private master bath - and this was nice too - and there is a second full bath off the hall near the other bedroom. Wood floors everywhere and very pet friendly. The host was responsive and allowed us to check in early - sending the code the night before so that checkin could be seamless.

The parking is super tight - very narrow drive off of a very busy street - but we knew this as we have stayed here before and there really isnt anything to do about it. there is overflow parking down below next door - but we only had one vehicle and luckily no one else was staying at the rental behind the house. We like having some green space for the dogs as there really isnt much grass along King Street. We wished the grass was mowed - there isnt much of it and it should be quick and easy - the daschunds are small and short grass makes it easier for them to get around and go potty (this is because of our small dogs - the grass was not excessively high by any means - so this is particular to us - probably not the majority of the guests). There are no King beds - of course we knew this from the description so we werent surprised - but the bedrooms are big enough for at least one of them to offer a King bed - especially for price paid. Offering a Keurig would have been awesome. Overall - there were no surprises - the commentary here is just to help the next guest in their planning.
