Waikiki Studio at Ilikai Marina - great apartment by the beach

The location was great. The full kitchen was wonderful, it had everything that we needed, a full size fridge and stove and even all the appliances, even a blender. The small size of the counter and sink space limited what was possible in terms of food preparation, but a kitchen pays for itself in this area especially when traveling with kids. It was more like visiting a friend's house, they thought of all the nice little details even leaving aloe vera, salt, pepper, band aids, a bag for dirty laundry and laundry detergent. The beds were very comfortable and there was a fold out bed/ couch. We spent three weeks here with two small children (we brought our own crib) we were very comfortable and enjoyed our visit. One of my favorite things about it was having a keypad to get in, I never had to dig through my bag to find my room key or worry about loosing it.

I probably read it wrong, but I was under the impression that it had laundry in the unit, it doesn't, it's actually 7 floors down in a busy laundry room that appears to service the entire building. Towels aren't allowed by the building to be left outside to dry, we were left with a drying rack for inside, but they don't dry inside. Seating on the balcony would have been very much appreciated. Parking is pricey at $27. per day in the parking garage, but it's normal for the area. There is a cheaper parking lot close by if you're lucky enough to snag it, but it can get quite competitive.

This place was an excellent value and made for a comfortable place to recharge between activities. Everything was exactly as advertised and shown in the pictures. Check-in was smooth with a very friendly rental manager. The room includes a small but adequate amount of cookware and dishes, beach and bath towels, and even a few beach items. Walking distance to beaches, the marinas, the park, a grocery store, and a large mall. I was able to meet shuttles at nearby hotels, and the adjoining parking garage conveniently has short-term Hui car rentals.

We were met by the host and he gave us a tour of the room and explained the information we needed to know (where to put trash, where to put linens at end of stay, where to get groceries, etc). The place was equipped with everything we needed for our 11-day stay, such as a few wine bottle openers, sharp knives, all the utensils for eating and cooking, cutting boards, coffee maker, electric teapot, colander, hangers, 2 boxes of tissues, 3 roll of toilet paper, clothes drying rack, an abundance of towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, dishes (had only 3 bowls for cereal or oatmeal), wine glasses, pots and non-stick frying pans, toaster, scissors, Saran Wrap, foil, beach chair, goggles, shopping cart, etc)

The 2 full beds were very uncomfortable. I weigh 125 pounds and the mattress sunk in the middle. It felt like I was in a hole, and it ended up hurting my back. My husband switched beds with me, and his was a little better but not much.

They should change bed, we had two twin beds at mattress of the other bed was not good anymore.

It was nice to have a small balcony with views. Also beach towels were provided. The location was good and walking distance to central Waikiki. Overall it was a good stay.

The location was absolutely great. It’s only 10 minutes walk to Alamoana mall and there is a beach which is more quiet and clean compared to Waikiki beach in front of the mall. we stayed here with our 10 months baby and the room had everything what we needed. The kitchen was my favorite since I was able to cook food for my baby daughter every night. It is also quiet compared to main area where Sheraton and Royal Hawaiian is located so if you would like to sleep in a more quiet area, this place it a great place!

The credit card reader in the laundry room was broken so we couldn’t not wash our clothes the first couple of days. there is another way to pay by downloading an App but you need a credit card with a billing address that’s located within United States so most the foreign visitors are not able to use it. However, we found out later that if you pay the exact cash ($3.25 each for washing and drying) to the security guard who you can find them at the first floor, they will pay it for you and get the laundry done!

Wish there was queen size beds.

The place was the perfect getaway for our family! It had all the amenities we needed and very spacious. My child loved this studio. Our family enjoyed the convenience of the location. In addition, the on-site laundry was a plus. The Host, Marina, and her husband Oleg were very attentive and communicative to ensure our needs.

Check In process was easy, but it was a little awkward to have a person check in on the spot entering the studio. would prefer a different check in system like other properties we’ve rented.

Convenient location. Very clean. Decently priced. Nice accommodations. Very friendly staff. Overall wonderful

There were no dislikes at all. Everything was nice.
