Such a beautiful and charming house inside Kasbah des Oudaias which has pedestrian only streets. Parking is available nearby (2-3 minute walk) at a good rate of 40 Moroccan Dirhams for whole day and night. Laila, the manager, met us at the house which was easy to find with the directions she gave us from the parking. We arrived early and she let us check-in early. She explained everything in detail and also left us some Moroccan sweets to enjoy. The house is very well decorated and built in an old Andalucian style. The bathrooms are a little small but that is to be expected in old houses like these. The Andalucian Gardens are only a 2 minute walk from the house. The old Rabat Medina and market are about 5 minute walk from the house where you can spend hours walking around the little streets. River boat crossing is about 8-10 minutes walk from the house at the River harbour from where you can hire a boat(2.5 Dirhams per person) to cross the river to go to the old town of Salé and see it's beautiful Medresa Merinide.

"Fantastic host and beautiful clean accomodation that does the job for a few nights"

10.0

Our fabulous host Laila met us upon arrival and couldn't have been nicer. She showed us around the beautiful riad and made us mint tea with delicious cookies. There are three bedrooms and it sleeps 6 people; also a wonderful little roof garden with table and chairs with spectacular views of the beach and city. Two bathrooms with excellent shower. Two airconditioned fans for the rooms, and excellent WiFi and even a TV for watching YouTube. I was travelling with four kids and very tired - as we were there for just one night, Laila organized a taxi for us to the airport for the next morning. We were met by our amazing driver in an air-conditioned bus across the road right outside the entrance of the kasbah. I would highly recommend this fantastic riad for travellers - please note that it is located inside the kasbah so you are getting a truly authentic experience.

Please note that the location is inside the kasbah, so if you have lots of luggage like we did, you should definitely hire a man with a trolley to carry your luggage and escort you. We are SO GLAD we did and it only cost 50 dirham (which is about 5 euro but he was so helpful I gave him 70 (7 euro). There are a few steps to get there. Inside the kasbah is spectacular and there are cafes and souvenir stalls literally a minutes walk from the riad, as well as the beach a few minutes walk away.

"Charming property and host."

We had a lovely welcome of tea and biscuits despite only 2 hours notice as our pre-booked stay cancelled while we were on the train from Marrakech! Rooftop lovely, daughter spent hours up there watching the world go by. Traditional Moroccan decor and all the basics for a comfortable stay. Great location to walk about in and access the beach.

One of the toilets was too tight for my 6’3” son! Lucky there were two 🤣

"A Breath of Fresh Air in beautiful Rabat"

10.0

A little piece of magic. Loved staying inside the Kasbah ( Ksar??) De Oudayas, and strolling around there. Walking distance to the Medina and other historic sites. Right next to the beach, for swimming... And views of the sunset... Beautiful views of the river and parts of Sale, from the rooftop. ( an umbrella here for some shade on a scorching day- could be a good idea) 5 min walk to public parking area..negotiate a daily price. No aircon..but fans, and darkening the room did the trick. Rabat on it s own..is a beautiful City...do not hesitate to come here for a few days

That we only booked 1 night (in this lovely city!!!! - and great accomodation)

"Great for a one night stay"

7.0

The owner Laila met us at the Riad to check us in. She is a sweet lady who came just after Iftar time to help us in. The Riad is not a Riad actually as it does not have a water fountain or a swimming pool. It is located in Kasbah of the Udayas which is set inside a fortress. So it is fascinating to walk inside a fort to get to the Riad. It has 3 bedrooms with a small living space and equipped kitchen. The walk towards the Riad is not pleasant as there is lot of dog poop, food waste and trash one has to navigate. The Riad itself is quiet quaint and the terrace is nice for some fresh air. The beds are comfortable and it is beautifully decorated. The toilets are very tiny so it gets difficult to use if you are well built. The toilets did not have adequate toiletries. The neighbors are very loud and due to Ramadan time, there was chatting and loud noises until very late. The shops around Udayas were all closed in the evening. Morning around the Kasbah was a different matter as there were lots of shops opening around 11 am. the views from the fort are beautiful, the cafe Maure as recommended by the owner, is a nice setting and the beach is accessible too. Parking is nearby but fair bit of a walk on a hilly terrain. We stayed for a night on our way to Marrakesh so this Riad worked out for us.

The Riad can improve with better toiletries and better furniture. The dining table chairs kept falling and side tables were just about balancing.
