GuestHost - Catania Comfy & Central Apartment x3!

We really enjoyed our stay in this appartment. It's clean, comfy and equipped with everything you might need during your stay. We loved the location, since it's about 15 minutes walking distance from some of the main tourist attractions in Catania and also 15 minutes away from main bus and train station, if you want to travel around the island. It's in a lovely quiet neighborhood, with some nice traitorias nearby. We also really appreciate the great communication we had with our host - everything was the way we arranged over messages, and when we had a minor problem with the electricity blackout late in the evening, the host replied immediately to our message and we resolved the issue within 5 minutes.

Good communication with the owner, sufficient equipment. The location is close to the center, there are many bars, cafes and restaurants.

A lot of noise from the street every evening (until late hours). It would be good to change the curtain on the door to a darker one (This one shines though a lot).

It was easy to access the apartment from the streets. Keys were left in a key box and I got instructions on how to check in. The apartment is on the main floor, so it was easy to get to. Good communication with the host and they allowed us to check in early.

1. The electricity was only on once the special key was inserted - so we couldn't leave any equipment to charge/heat the water. 2. The host didn't notify us that there was a water heater that must be physically turned on - we lost a few hrs on the first morning to wait until the water was warm enough to take a shower. 3. You can feel that someone smoked in that apartment some time ago. 4. It wasn't really clean - there was a lot of soap stains on the shower walls and by the sink, the bathroom floor wasn't washed around the toilet - you could see stains etc. 5. No soap at all. 6. The water under the shower didn't drain at all - it was completely clogged. 7. Very unstable internet. 8. The surrounding is not very pleasant - there's someone constantly opening very loud garage door, the view was scary and the streets around are not v pleasant. Once you walk 5 mins away it gets better.

The dishes in the apartment were not clean.

Good size (separate bedroom with aircon) good facilities, including washer/dryer, cooker, microwave. Very comfortable bed. Quiet street not far from Via Etnea and centre, handy for shops, bars, restaurants. Couldn’t have been better.

There was nothing I did not like.
