Homely 2 bed duplex with a river view

The host gave us the code and getting the keys easy enough . The host was very flexible and let us have an extra hour late to check out due to my wife's current medication making it difficult to wake up . They were easy to access and talk too. My baby loved the Peppa pig puzzle box they had and the playstation 3 (although heavily outdated games like FIFA 2016) was a very nice touch .

Unfortunately the floors were not clean at all and as our baby has started crawling , there were bits of food from I assume the previous tenants there, but my baby could have easily picked up and put in their mouth . The parking was a bit of a faff with unclear instructions, you go into a parking lot but then there's a separate part within it that you need to swab the key for , that's not explained in the manual and took us a good while to figure out . One of the beds were wet and the lightbulb wasn't working in the other bedroom. It's also a bit frustrating because there were parking spots just outside the building which would have been so convenient to use but the walk to the car park and going down the lifts that are extremely dodgy ( they went out of service after the first day ) means we had to walk up and down flights of stairs each time to get to apartment .

It is a very comfortable place to stay

The apartment was spotless with clean and fresh linen, absolutely loved it. Will def book it again in the future.

It has enough space for four so for two, the apartment was generally exceptional. - Generally lovely apartment - Location was quiet on Friday night but on Saturday, the street below got a bit noisy with cars revving like crazy (nothing the apartment can control but I dislike the noise). The building itself was quiet the entire two nights - Free parking, which seems to be a rarity in Southampton

I wasn't there was the views in the listing but I thought they'd have been nice - Views indicated in listing do not exist as a new building block obstructs the sea view. You can still see the tips of the cruise ships though - Directions were not very useful. Considering how complicated the areas is, a step by step guide with photos may be more helpful - We couldn't find the heat control although we didn't really need it in the end - Parking is free but it's still about 5 minutes from apartment, made slightly worse by the directions not being so useful
