The location is excellent, just 5 minutes from Oslo S station. Nearby there’s a beautiful new neighborhood by the water, only a 10-minute walk away. Lovely rooftop terrace.

Very noisy street due to public traffic. In summer, it gets noisier when the windows are open.

We stayed at this apartment for four nights. Location could not be better. The building ran the depth of a city block, and the Princens Gate side was one block from Karl Johans Gate - the most desired location in Oslo. Landlord was great. When I asked him for a coffee pot he delivered it that day. The loft bedroom was exceptionally inviting... we hated getting up. The kitchen was very well equipped, including such items as cheese knives, wine glasses, and a water pitcher.

Driving in Oslo is difficult. What can be reached in 10 minutes via tram and 15 minutes on foot takes 45 minutes by car. Parking is VERY expensive. Most parking lots are 650 Norwegian kroner per day (Manhatten prices), sometimes costing double if you leave and return. We highly recommend the lot on Breigata, 5 minutes by metro, which was 450 Kroner per day and that didn't charge by entrance and exit but by the hours on the clock. You can pay for three days, for example, and come and go as often as you like. (TIP.. to enter the lot on foot to return to your car, you need to scan the QR code posted on the wall and enter your license plate number for the door to open. Presumably, if you hadn't paid, it may not have opened.) We were told about this lot by a sympathetic parking lot employee, and it may be a closely kept secret.

The apartment is in a perfect location, close to the Opera, in a charming historical building. Small but functional, ideal for a short stay. If you are three people, like we were, someone must sleep on the couch, but that's comfortable enough.
