Fallow Cottage, 3 Bedrooms, Woodburner - Heart of Stamford by Belmont Places

The house is stunning and in a great location for Stamford Centre. The rooms are great, beds are massive and comfy and the kitchen was well stocked for appliances - with some nice treats to welcome us. Thank you.

I guess one bathroom for up to 6 people right at the back of the house on the ground floor with one of the bedrooms up in the attic could get tiresome, but equally I imagine its quite difficult to build into these old buildings. It wasn't a problem for us, just worth noting. It really is a great comfy place.

Very well positioned, within easy walking distance of the town centre and right next to a very reasonable public car park. It was the perfect location.

I couldn’t get the TV to work, but that says more about me than the TV!

Clean and in an excellent location

Bäddsoffan och sängen i sovrummet (som dock hade en brant trappa) var ok att sova i. Området kändes rätt centralt och det var tyst. Det fanns bröd och smör i kylen.

Vi hade bokat och betalat för ”3 bedrooms” men blev med kort varsel ombokade till 1 sovrum + bäddsoffa i köket. Ingen priskompensation har erbjudits. Nyckelskåpet fungerade inte, som tur var fanns en inneboende som hittade en extranyckel. Inte så välstädat, det var inte spolat i toaletten. Badrummet saknade dörr, det var bara ett draperi. Gardinerna i köket (med bäddsoffan) gick inte att dra för helt och var smutsiga i nederkanten.

Very lovely decoration

Right next to the car park so easy to unload and load. Most things in Stamford only 5 mins walk. Plenty of space and excellent value. Great new large shower and bathroom all new. Very comfy beds. 2 Large double beds in 2 rooms and a standard in the 3rd. Well decoded and homely feel. Will definitely stay again and host very easy to contact and responds in good time.

Nothing can be done but you do have to note that the bathroom is on the bottom floor and the master bedroom is 2 flights up. Not a problem for us but worth knowing as one flight of stairs has very narrow treads. Needs a few more small plates as only 3 in the cupboard. Maybe some champagne flutes as well. Otherwise all you need.

The cleanliness of bathroom could have been higher standard and the shower wasn’t working. The host did however resolve this very swiftly.
