There was no communication when couldn't find property. There was no curtain on full street view bedroom. There was a knife outside the property. We tried to get refund from booking.com but nothing. Bad communications and felt unsafe there.

Everything.

Dirty, broken windows, no wifi, old, uncomfortable bed.

Good location

On entry to the property the overwhelming smell of cat urine was overwhelming. If our room has carried the same smell I'd have never stayed. Our room however was lovely, with the exception of a completely smashed TV

The location is perfect, everything was very clean, the apartment looks exactly as pictured and is great for a short stay. Self check-in was easy - ONCE we finally were given the arrival details after chasing them for days, also every hour on the day of our arrival

We booked this property for a weekend away in Brighton and I informed the property at the time of booking that I had a very bad experience last time we tried to go down to Brighton. Last time the property never gave us arrival details, was unreachable and we ended up with no place to stay and had to drive back to London. So this time around we didn't want to leave London until we actually had the check-in details, but BeyondHosting (aka Ocean Property Mangement) just wouldn't send them to us to put our minds at ease. Despite being aware of our experience and responsive via email also on the day (phone number doesn't work), they refused to give us details before 4pm arrival time - completely ruining our day we could have otherwise had - i. e. arrive in Brighton earlier knowing that we've got a place, wander the streets and then check-in at 3pm or 4pm... They also confirmed an early check-in request for 2-3pm and then retracted it again. It only takes 1hour to clean an apartment this size, and they could have easily accommodated this request. Why would you not give people arrival details ahead of time?! This makes no sense at all. You're also assuming people have mobile data when travelling and a fully charged phone if you only give them details at the hour. This completely soured our experience and very disappointed how this was handled. I therefore cannot give you a completely neutral review of the actual stay, when otherwise my rating would have been better. :(

Accommodation a bit cramped.

We had booked two nights, someone turned up on the 1st day telling us we had missed check out … when I contacted the property no one replied!! Left us very uneasy all afternoon evening thinking someone would turn up. The flat is up 4 flights of very thing stairs maybe an issue for some people. There is no full length mirror in the room (may not be a problem for some) The fridge and and dishwasher did not work and due to the call out fee of £100 we went two days with out. Communication is not great - entrance instructions included the code but not the instructions of how to use the lock. There was no where to store clothes
