GTC 1Br Apartment on Westlands Road -with Gym& Pool

Amazing Stay! I recently stayed at Sherry homes GTC apartments for one night and had a fantastic experience. The staff were welcoming, and check-in was quick and easy. The room was spotless and comfortable, with nice extras like complimentary bottled water and a well-stocked tea and coffee station. The location was perfect, close to major attractions yet very quiet. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. I highly recommend Sherry homes GTC apartments for its excellent service and great amenities. I look forward to staying here again!

I loved my stay, totally.

The location. It’s located within the GTC residential complex in Westlands. Very well secured, close to the city, walkable distances, easy to access nearby malls, restaurants, etc. There’s a very nice outdoor pool and gym, Gardens are very well maintained. You get a nice view of the city.

There was no hot water during my stay. The bathroom door is awkwardly placed such that one has to enter it sideways. It’s almost as though the door is placed on the wrong side or it shouldn’t be there in the first place.The beddings and towels had stains. The bedroom could use more airing to remove the musty smells. The keycard had been left with security guard but there was no clear instructions on how to open the apartment door. I almost locked myself out as I kept swiping the card in the wrong spot only to find out after several attempts that I was supposed to put a code instead of swiping the card at the door. It would have been helpful for the host to provide directions on how to access other facilities like the gym& spa that were located in a separate building. Thankfully the security guards and the maintenance crew were helpful in providing directions.

Sherry was a friendly host. she was welcoming and I had a very easy time checking in. The room was clean and had amazing views from the balcony. The property has a garden with a great ambiance, where the swimming pool is and if you have kids there is a play area. There is a 24hr security which makes the place very safe, also the location of the property is central, walking distances to Malls and offices within Westlands. I would recommends this place to all solo travels and even those who have families.

So, I booked this property and also stated my time of arrival. I realised, upon confirming the booking, that I didn't have a precise location or name for the apartment block. I had also messaged the owner using booking.com's messaging to ask if it had a gym but didnt receive a proper response. When I reached the general area, I called the number on the profile, only for the lady to tell me "uh which property" and then "I will call you back". She wasn't rude, but after a wait called me again to say that the paint/plumbing work in the apartment wasn't completed (implying that it was perhaps stilll being built?) I was then offered the option of moving into another apartment, belonging to a "friend" as it was the saame layout as this one, or them cancelling my reservation.By this point I didnt trust them and opted for the cancellation (was still annoyed to see that the property marked me as a 'no-show' lol). Very bizarre situation, and booking,com should investigate how non-existent/ not-ready properties make it to their website.
