Lakeside House on Retallack Resort with Hot Tub 110

Excellent location. Property maybe in need of a little tlc, but overall our family of seven and one dog thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay here and will more than likely be back again next year.

Outside the property was looking a little tired and in need of a spruce up ie, paint job on the decking etc, but the hot tub was a fantastic addition to the facilities and enjoyed by all most evenings.

The position on the lake and the entertainment from the ducks, fish and the Canada goose, which my grandson nicknamed Gerry. It was peaceful and extremely private, considering the close proximity of the neighbouring properties. Beautifully equipped. We hope to return at some time.

Leaving!!! Loved the hot tub, however, felt it was lacking power for the 'bubbles'.

The Lakeside House, is set on the Retallack Resort. It was private, with ample space and a in a fairly tranquil setting overlooking a little lake on site. It is also close to Newquay and in a good location to get around Cornwall. The swimming was good and the restaurant was nice. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately the property needed a little TLC, with some damage here and there, and some things not working, such as one of the outside porch lights on a night. The deck chairs upstairs on the balcony need replacing or cleaning, however these little issues were only a slight problem, and some wear and tear on these properties is to be expected with how many different people will stay in them. The hum from the generator outside kept my father awake a little but earplugs helped with that. I enjoyed the stay, and would stay again, as the location is good, and the property, although requiring some TLC and maintenance was still nice, just be aware that out of season a lot of the resort activities are not on during the week, and breakfast in the restaurant is also not available during the week.

Retallack always lovely site. And lakeside properties are great design and lots of space. Lovely host.

Hot tub was unreliable and jet bath didn’t work.
