CASA VIA XX SETTEMBRE - La Via più Famosa di Genova

It's a scam!! They tried to charge us additional charges (50 euro for a late check in, about 20 euro for an online application,..) that were not listed on booking.com. The neighborhood is not safe. It's impossible to find and we were not able to get a hold of anyone working there. After waiting for an hour in the middle of the night in front of the alleged place, we ended up having to book another place. They refused to give us a refund. Complete scam!!

Well equipped accommodation, nice location.

I stayed out all night because of this hotel. There was no answer. The gate was closed.

Location

Very complicated check-in. Very bad smell in the apartment, didn't want to be in the apartment. It looks like someone has already slept in the bed, it looks like the bedding hasn't been changed. The furniture is very worn out. Didn't want to touch anything... A fee of ~8€ was deducted from the deposit, which was not refunded. I highly do not recommend it.

Location is wonderful - in the centre of the city, close to shops, restaurants etc, rather far from beach, but 20 minutes walk its not so far. Very friendly host, ready to help you in matters even not related to accommodation! Clean apartment, all the items equipped and working, a little bit small for long stay for more than 2 people but for three of us for two nights it was more than enough place) Quiet, even taking in account restaurant under the window. Clever air condition placement, not blowing on the bed, with timer. Very easy access with GSM door opener and electronic keybox👌👌

We couldn’t start Netflix just „from the box“, but didn’t want to disturb the host with such an issue, so it could probably be „the thing we didn’t like“, but we just didn’t pay attention to it, considering its insignificance.

Once we found the location, eveyrhing was fine. Keep in mind that Genova is a special city, build on layers, vertically. The host was extremely heplful, the flat was perfect for 1 noght stay, but it can surely be a good option for longer stays as well

Easy check-in method and clear and quick directions (even late at night). Newly renovated accommodation with quality furniture. Clean and standard quality/price. Highly recommended.

Check in fairly easy, easy place to find as good location. Place was clean.

Not worth the money we paid for this room. Check out was extremely difficult, couldn’t get hold of host. When we did, the host was not helpful. We were late catching our train due to the difficulties checking out. Receptionist does not accept anything to do with this property.
