We had several issues with the above booking and the following was noted • Lights were broken on arrival. • There was a leak in the bathroom • No hot water to have a wash Also sent footage of the issues but cant upload to the site No response from the owner!

Nothing it wasn’t clean, doors wouldn’t lock!

Toilets were very unclean, there was a soap with a tone of hair on, back door wouldn’t lock, no kitchen equipment to be able to cook, heating wasn’t even on so whole house was cold, rubbish left in the garden

No one had been in and cleaned any of the rooms before I arrived and the last guests used my pillows from my room so I had to use them after someone else did, used guest sanitary pad in the bin and no rolls of toilet paper in the toilet

The host graciously extended our check out time when requested. Their communication was great throughout my stay. The location was great. Super close to the high street, transportation and a convenient grocery on the same street.

While I appreciated the extra time given for my stay, there were some concerns during my visit. Firstly, I noticed some skin irritation with small bumps on my neck, ear, and lips, which I suspect could be from bugs. The bed itself was the hardest bed I've ever slept on. A new bathroom curtain is necessary. Cleanliness was another issue; there was food and drink left in the fridge, clothes hanging behind the bedroom door, and the upstairs floors did not seem swept or mopped. After blowing up balloons, I noticed a lot of hair and debris stuck to them. There were also missing basics. No dish soap or cloth was provided to clean dishes, so I had to buy some. The Wi-Fi network shared with me was not available, which made it challenging for those of us from abroad to use our own streaming accounts on the TV. We couldn't find a way to watch any basic TV either. The lock on the door was loose. Luckily, my mother-in-law was able to tighten it with a knife, but without this, we would have had an unlocked door. The stairs were slippery, especially in socks, and my mother-in-law needed assistance. The steps are very steep. Adding grips would make them more ideal. A few more essentials like a basic microwave and an iron would also improve the comfort of the stay. Overall, a thorough cleaning and better provision of essentials between guests would go a long way.

If I could give this accommodation 0 stars then I would. I knew it was going to be basic, we only wanted a base for our trip to Harry Potter Studios. What I do expect however is clean bedding and clean bathroom facilities. The accommodation had not been cleaned. We were expect to sleep in beds left from the previous guests. And we can assume one of the previous guests had an upset stomach given the state of the toilet. We left immediately and I am still fighting for compensation. AVOID. AVOID, AVOID.
