New Georgetown Tropical Macalister 218 Homestay 9pax to11pax HENG

Very easy to collect keys and access card. The room looks very new but no free movie TV channel for viewing. Location is quite good and there’s a convenient mart downstairs.

Parking at level 6 making you extremely dizzy as it turns round and round when going up. Sensor for lift card access is not sensitive. One of the room cupboard is very old. Ants crawling at the kitchen table. Lastly, there should be a store to put broom and dustpan instead beside the entrance door. Living room AC remote control not working.

No "short time" parking is available to collect/pick up keys. However there are ample jockey park!!! The spiral road leading up to the 10th floor parking is a challenge...more so for lady's driver. Worse if it is a bigger car. The car park with only 4 cars parked (during our check in and check out time) gives a scary/uncomfortable perception!! The directional signage in the parking lot A/B are not indicated. (It is marked tower A or B though ....at the front of the block "door"). For Block B , the front door cannot be open with the access card. Had to go to the "back" door. Even then , door key/handle looks mal-handled. It would be good if the check out time is later esp if you go visiting/touring..had to break the schedule or check out early.

The location is good, check in and check out instructions were straightforward and easy to follow

The listing indicated that there will be a washing machine in the room but there wasn’t. When we contacted the host, he said that there are multiple types of listing and some do not include a washing machine. However, the listing I have booked on Booking.com clearly indicated that there will be a washing machine. This caused a lot of inconvenience as we have to seek and pay for other laundry solutions. The wifi is also ridiculously bad, as you could only connect when you are beside the router. There is no reception in any of the rooms and even just 10 steps away from the router. The heater also stopped functioning in one of the showers. There were also insufficient toilet paper in the room. There is a huge room to improve and I think booking with other operators at the same location may be better.

Location with good view of the city, clean and comfortable stay. Plenty supply of toiletries.

Parking is terrible. Parking skills needed to spiral up 10 floors nonstop to reach the tandem parkings. Very inconvenient. No slipper in the bathrooms. Lack of lighting in the kitchen.
