Helen's cozy studio (close to the airport)

Ausser Flugafennähe gibt es hier nichts. Eher Souterrainwohnung.

Helen was so great. She picked my girlfriend and I up from the rental car drop off because the taxis were on strike. She drove us to her place where we stayed in an excellent room and brought us to the airport at 03:00 am to ensure we didn't miss our flight. Great person, great place to stay!

The host was very nice! She didn't speak much English, but Gemini aided communication, so no worries. She picked us up personally from the airport for 10 €, which we left on the table before leaving. The place was very clean and had the AC unit for heating as well as a dedicated radiator run by electricity, so plenty warm. The shower was perfect. Everything was clean and orderly.

Helen is the most amazing and helpful person. She helped us with anything we needed. Was on her way to town and gave us a ride with her to dinner. She left breakfast items form us in the fridge. Cheese butter jams spreadable chocolate and Honey as well as apples and oranges. This is the best spot to be really close to the airport. I landed in the afternoon and had a connection the following morning. It was really convenient. The best thing there was the personal connection. Thank you Helen for being you!

There was nothing there I did not like

This is a large house with 2-3 different apartments… I think the owner lives in one of them because she was there waiting for us when we arrived. We parked our rental car inside her driveway with a gate so it felt very secure, but honestly, the area felt secure anyway, so we probably would have been just fine parking outside of her property as well. Our apartment was on the ground floor in the back with a private entrance. It was clean and very comfy. We really enjoyed our stay there for the night. We drive 5 min away to find several restaurants for dinner, along with a petrol station to fill the rental car prior to our 8 min drive into the airport. The kitchen was stocked with 4+ kinds of coffee, cream, sugar, tea, cookies, toast, cheese, butter and jelly… and water and fruit in fridge. We had a very nice little breakfast before heading to the airport. Will definitely return anytime we fly in/out of Athens.
