Coup de cœur à Sidi Bou Said

The house is located in the heart of Sidi Bou Said. You can walk to the sightseeing place to visit. The decoration architecture of the house is the work of an extraordinary taste. In addition, the roof top is a place decorated with lights and accessories, where you can have a pleasant time with the view. The hosts are so kind and caring that they made my vacation so beautiful and safe. Everything was great! This is definitely my preference when I come again.

There's nothing

The host was very kind and helpful. The house was magnificent. Very good location. Every thing was clean. We had grate time there. She cooked Couscous for us and it was delicious.

The house needs more light. İt was a little dark in night.

It was a beautiful experience to be welcomed in this lovely apartment. The walls are decorated so that you feel in a real traditional house. It is very silent because it is in a little street with no cars. The owners treated us wonderfully, giving us all the recommendations, support and warmth we were hoping for, and way more. The parking outside (30 sec on foot) is so very convenient. You are provided with a parking card and can just leave the car next to the apartment for free. The place is very close to the centre of the town and to several cafes/restaurants. Everything was just perfect, including the delicious 😋 couscous cooked for us with much love. We were a couple with a 3 year old and felt very special here.

Everything was great. The villa looked just like in the pictures. Was very clean and in a central location. The check in went smooth, the owner met us in front of the building.

The toilet downstairs didnt flush.

Location was great for a quick visit to Sidi Bou Said. Several nice restaurants and grocery stores nearby.

This is a great property if you think of it as a cultural stay. The apartment’s ground level is picturesque and so is the neighbourhood. The location is ideal for exploring the neighbouring areas. Amor and his wife are so incredibly welcoming. They made us feel right at home. If we were short on anything or if something in the apartment needed tending to they were at the ready. Because we stayed more than 5 days, Amor offered free transport to and from the airport. His wife also cooked us a meal and it was delicious. The apartment itself is rustic and tells a beautiful story. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The rooms located in the upstairs area need a bit of updating and care but it did not detract from our stay. We enjoyed it tremendously. It felt like an artistic local had lent us their place for the week.

This is a very quiet and comfortable apartment in a great area of Tunis. It is well equipped, although there are so many restaurants nearby we didn't do much cooking. The apartment is very spacious with 3 bedrooms. It is very clean and even has a washing machine. The location is excellent not far from the airport and near the archeological ruins of Carthage.

We found it a little dark at night to do much reading. Nothing to do with this place but driving in Tunis is crazy unless you are used to it!!

Lovely traditional home. Beautiful tile work and decor. Large enough for 3-4 people.

Only 2/3 rooms has an air conditioner. Would be a problem for larger groups if it’s hot. The kitchen was not well stocked for self cooking.

The space

Although the host states meals can be provided at additional cost, we did not take advantage of the offer. We hit the restaurants and cooked at the villa. The villa is quaint with an excellent design asthetic. It is an attached condo style villa with other buildings and is a short walk to the parking area. Parking anywhere in Sidi Bou Saed rquires a ticket that cn be purchased at any of the sidewalk meters/vending kiosks. If you have no pass or ticket displyed on your dash you will get a yellow wheel lock installed on your vehicle. The owner did provide us with a pass. The villa is nice but needs a few minor details addresed and some serious updating. Everything you need is there but the towels were few and very rough. The same with the blankets. Air conditioning is in 2 of the 3 bedrooms and no fans are provided. Despite being close quarters the villa was very quiet with neighbors and chikdren in close proximity. A small family or group can funtion very well here and the location is within walking distance of shopping, eating and grocery store about 3 kilometers.

Airconditioning was not present in one bedroom and it was needed. We ended up shifting to the living room and was able to make it work. The villa is on a dead end short street and this poses a dilema with a posibility of being blocked because property owners have street access to some of the private houses. If you are not careful you could get blocked in. The owner said we could park on the main street with the pass displayed but we parked on the off street. Be aware that I had 2 map locations pop up on Google Maps. The location by the the train staion/railroad tracks is not it. Ask ownwer for a dropped pin and you will find it easy enough.
