La Casa di Giò

Great location - in the middle of Bari Old Town. Apartment was clean and full of snacks which was a really nice addition. There was also a coffee machine with capsules for whole stay and a kettle. We also got towels changed in the middle of our stay. Host was a very nice person and replied quickly on Booking when we had some questions.

There were two things which could be better: 1) Unpleasant smell from sewage system :( Sometimes it was really strong. Plugging cloth to the outflow in the bath helped a little bit 2) Host unfortunately doesn't speak English at all so without Google Translate it would be impossible for us to understand her.

Everything with our stay was great. The building is a traditional one, with the spirit of the old town, located in the heart of Bari Vecchia, 15ish minutes walk from Bari Centrale train station, very close both to a street with restaurants, a street with small stores and about 5 minutes walk from the sea, close to most of the sights in the city. However, the street the building itself is on, is calm and quiet. The people were very helpful, providing us with all the necessary information how to get there and other questions of ours, answering fast and accurately. The apartment was very clean and tidy, also the bathroom with everything working properly, provided with nice coffee, packed cakes for breakfast, also tourist map of the city and other small things to make it cozy. All this was important for us because we travelled with a small kid, whose stroller we could leave downstairs without concerns and not having to climb the stairs with it during the day. For all this, the price was great and I would totally recommend to anyone travelling alone, a couple or a family with a small kid. For the convenience of our stay, grazie bene!
