Really spacious for an apartment in the centre of riomaggiore. It felt really homely and comfortable, and had all the stuff you needed to cook etc etc. Great central location. It seemed very reasonably priced for where you are. Host communicated well

No bottle opener...

Clean, secure and close to restaurants. Linen was clean.

Lack of lighting in stairwell is a safety hazard and needs to be fixed. From previous reviews this is a known issue. Air conditioning didn’t work in the main bedroom. Again noted in a lot of previous reviews. Owner’s initial response was to use the fan but when pushed a technician came the next day but it couldn’t be fixed before we left.

Great location, on the main street of Riomaggiore. Pretty spacious unit. Easy communication with the owner (when things went well). Optional parking around the corner

What should have been a great place to stay, turned out horrible. 1. Air conditioning (new units, one in each bedroom) didn't work: the one in the primary bedroom didn't turn on, the one in the secondary bedroom leaked considerably (floor getting wet till midway the room). We messaged the owner the night of our arrival. A technician "might" come to fix this the second day. They didn't, and we had to find out ourselves by following up with the owner the second evening on our way back to the hotel 2. Safety is questionable. Big bags of construction materials blocking 2/3 of the hallway in front of the unit (only escape route). Hallway light not accessible due to those bags and hard to get a heavy suitcase past those bags. Electrical wires of one of the AC units exposed on the floor. The owner assured us (after us flagging) that those wires were not live, but I would have preferred not seeing them 3. Poor cleanliness. Within minutes of crawling around, or toddler had black knees, feet and hands. Lots of dirt under the fridge attracting ants – at some point over 40 around the fridge, yet you'd find them everywhere in the unit. The owner would address this the second day, but this didn't happen 4. Parking. Although conveniently located (note: parking is scarce in Cinque Terre), the owner didn't mention that our parking spot was shared with someone else. The first morning, we found out someone else had parked in front of us without leaving contact details. Luckily, the owner knew which other unit used the parking lot and the owners of the car were home to swap spots – if only the other driver was on a full day excursion, we would have been stuck 5. Privacy or lack thereof. Official check-out was at 10AM. We already got a notice from Booking.com at 9.40AM that we hadn't left the necessary money behind for city taxes and parking, i.e. people entered our unit even before that.

Convenient to the amenities. Had everything you needed. (We didn’t cater in apartment) Beds were comfortable.

Long uphill walk from train. Information about luggage transfer would have been handy.

The apartment is spacious. It has a lovely outlook and was very easy to find thanks to the great instructional video provided Having read previous reviews we knew to look for the light switches in the staircase. They start at the second flight There is a good sized fridge and it’s nice to have a table to sit and eat breakfast. The cooling was effective

I underestimated the difficulty of getting to the location due to the steepness of the hills. This is not the fault of the property but it is a fact that it is a very steep climb to get there with suitcases. Lots of accomodations in Riomaggiore will face this issue The bathroom is very compact but the towels were lovely and fluffy.
