When I belatedly got to the room, it was a very good experience, even if I did not have the possibility to take advantage of it on a one night visit. I had some problems finding the room, see below. But the host was very helpful in solving this by phone. The room was clean, nice, and very, very well equipped. If you want to you could prepare a meal and dine in house, iron your clothes, dry your hair, there was everything, etc .. The apartment is exactly beside the main entrance to the Arena. So if you are in Tampere for an icehockey match or a concert at the Arena, you could not be better situated. If you are only in Tampere for a fast meeting, as I was, it is very close to the railway station, which is good. If you are looking for an estetic touristic experience of old Tampere, the area around the arena is a bit dystopic. In that case I would look closer the the torrents.

This was the weak spot in my visit. Be VERY SURE that you get the location information from your host before you start looking for the place. The room is an apartment in a building next to the new Arena in Tampere, but not marked at all. So nobody (taxies, guards, the main hotel in the same building etc) knows anything were it is. It is impossible to find without the detailed information with the guiding photos the host usually sends you in in advance. In my, case I did for some reason did not receive this information. So I looked for the room for quite some while in the lovely Finnish winter weather. The upside is, that when I got hold of the host by phone, he was the most kind and service minded. He resent me the instructions that helped my find my way directly. He even left following an ice hockey game in Tampere while helping me. That is for somebody in Tampere, as we from other parts of Finland, understand and respect, is a great sacrifice of your own interests in behalf of the customer. But if you book a room here, be sure to double check you you get the info of how-do-I-find-it before you approach the Arena.

Login system modern, you get a onetime login link and pin. Then at room you have the key. Rooms are made for living, not hotel living. Silent, so good sleep. Near train station.

Self service hotel, no amenities. Small tv, only 32" room descriptons say 55" Password for Wifi is default, so very long and crypted. Micro/oven needs hours of learning, Only one hand towel. Shower door is only covering one side, so the floor gets very wet, and no bathroom floor towel to dry, only a spatula to wipe most of the water.
