Beautifully restored house. Lovely and clean. Hosts great to deal with. Great location. Lovely landscaped garden. Perfect for families. Wish we could have stayed longer.

This cottage has been renovated recently to a good standard and functions well as a family house, with large planted garden with furniture to sit out. Everything that you could want in the house and some additional touches like flowers in the kitchen, and baby equipment and toys. Lucy was very quick to respond to text messages when the bath plug needed changing. Village has one large store housing a Co-op, Post office, Chemist, garden centre and fuel. It was easy for us to visit Shropshire/Wales, with Three National Trust properties within striking distance and for longer journeys into Wales for Caernarvon and Conwy castles. Shrewsbury very good for shopping but Oswestry and Llangollen ,disappointing and sad like many small market towns these days.

No bathroom blind in the en-suite which is on the front, so felt a little exposed, although technically neighbours opposite are hidden behind trees and no footpath. Although we had good nights sleep in the main bedroom, we did feel that the mattresses' could all do with replacing. I'm all for recycling, but not having a kitchen bin bag was a bit too far for me. Not happy slopping everything straight in the large bin, it was very smelly from previous guests waste, and nappies also not in separate bags. This might be down to local council instructions and twice weekly collections, which I understand.
