I had booked a room for 4 people. When we arrived, upon doing check in, we were told that they had had an issue and we were gonna be put in two double rooms, one of which being in a different building and belonging to a different person (same floor just different door and management). One of the rooms was okay, but the other one (in the other building) was really different than what we had paid for. I complained about the lack of communication and the room being not what I paid for. At this point, I was given a different room in the same building, the second. It looked better, but when I checked the bed, it was full of small hair resembling pubic hair. It wasn't one or two. We are talking about 20 and everywhere! Had to go down to complain again, and the manager of the first building replaced the bedsheets, apologising for it. Once one of us was finally in the shower, the manager of the second building came over asking us to vacate the room and move to the one we had initially been offered. We had no other option but to accept. The excuse for it was that the room with the hair in the bed was already occupied by someone else. Weird, because there were no clothes or belongings and the bed was "freshly" made and the towels were rolled up. The other room we were given had a very poor bathroom with broken handles on the doors and smelled of mould. The view from the balcony was really, really bad and not at all what was advertised. Eventually, we were all moved to the first building but still in 2 separate rooms. It wasn't at all what we had paid for or what we had booked, and having to pack constantly to move from a room to the other caused us a lot of hassle and discomfort.

Excellent location in Via Etnea, lovely hosts very welcoming and helpful, great value for money. Will definitely visit again
