The old Village Villa At 2 Geese with Pool

The swimming pool is lovely and clean. The kitchen is fully equipped. It was very pleasant on the terrace. The house is really interesting.

The first thing we saw were dirty windows from the street, which made us think we got to the wrong house. A non-smoking house but a full dirty ashtray on the terrace. Although our booking was for three, the third room was not ready, bed not made. There were no towels. The biggest surprise was that there was no hot water available for two days. This turned out to be a major problem, with a whole day of phone calls to Booking.com agent Alpe Adria. We were assured that we will receive an email with explanations and options for moving into a better house, but the email never arrived. The plummer arrived eventually. Also, there was not much privacy due to the neighbor who was constantly dropping in, to cut the grass, water the garden etc.at all times of the day and evening. The garden is big and beautiful, but not very suitable for dogs, it is not fenced in and is right next to the road. Last but not least, there is no A/C, only one stand alone unit in an upstairs spare room, cooling only one room but very noisy so had to be turned off during the night.

We were a group of eight friends and we truly enjoyed every moment in this amazing house. The villa is beautifully restored, full of character, and equipped with everything you could wish for – from a relaxing pool and spacious common areas to the charming little details that make it feel like home. We especially loved spending time outside, enjoying the peaceful surroundings and the incredible nature around us. One day we took a short hike – about 25 minutes one way – up to the Pišece Castle, which offered stunning views and a touch of local history. The location is also perfect for short trips: within just 30 minutes you can reach nearby castles, wellness centers, and other attractions. One of the highlights for us was visiting Jelenov Greben, where we had the chance to feed deer and enjoy a truly unique experience. This place is perfect for anyone looking to unwind, connect with nature, and explore the beauty of Slovenia. Highly recommended – we’ll definitely be coming back!
