Up at the Barn

Hvis man vil have stilhed, er det et rigtig godt sted at være. Dog kan man opleve larm fra vilde dyr og landbrugsmaskiner. Man skal være forberedt på at der kun er rindende vand og gas på flasker på stedet. Der er altså ikke nogen strømforsyning på stedet selvom der kan ses stikdåser på et af billederne. De er siden blevet fjernet. Hytten er også ret lille, så man skal ikke forvente luksusglamping. Men hvis man kan leve med at bo lidt tæt pakket, så er det et virkelig fremragende sted. Vi ville godt overnatte der igen.

Der blev ikke i god tid på forhånd gjort opmærksom på at der ikke var strøm på stedet, så vi blev nødt til at købe en powerbank i al hast.

Good if you are looking for a quiet and basic and away from normal modernity experience

The gas stove wasn’t working but phoned the hosts to work out using an alternative one in the shed. Some windows lacked curtains so light in the morning - bring an eye mask (I was prepared!) no power so bring a power bank charger (there are some solar ones there), also no Wi-Fi and poor phone signal

Idyllic location and a very cute, quirky and romantic stay. Loved the white horse pub nearby too. We are used to a motorhome so having such a cute place and fabulous garden with an outstanding view was an easy option for us.

A few cobwebs in corners and around windows that didn’t bother us but might bother some . No shower by we knew in advance and we understand one is being put in nearby

Beautifully tranquil location with incredible views. We had everything we needed for our stay. Hosts were lovely and so helpful and it was great to just unplug for the weekend! Loved watching deer and phasents in the fields. Bed was so comfy and kitchen well equipped.

I think the only thing I would say is bring a power bank, although we were warned ahead of time that phone Chargers were solar powered so we were aware, not an issue for us!

My fault I think but they're no mains elec. Solar lights fair enough but the solar power bank was dead and wouldn't charge even in brilliant sunshine for hours. My bad again prob but no shower

Enjoyed being off grid, in remote, quiet countryside. Wonderful to be close to nature, saw deers and hares. Hut is very comfortable and cosy, with well appointed facilities. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided along with milk. Helpful hosts.

The only thing that spoiled the back to nature experience was the outside light that stayed on all night.
