Aigle d'Or - Strasbourg Nord

Near a nice bakery and a food court.

The property was clean, friendly staff, quiet, and comfortable.

Nothing.

The property itself was very cool. We were amazed there were no keycard but actual keys, lol. Loved the room definitely enough for my 2 teen/grown kids and myself.

The doors literally close at 7pm so I’m not sure how people check in after 7pm. They were very limited on parking spaces. We were lucky and got one but not sure where people go if they were not as lucky. Primarily French speaking, the receptionist only knew a few words of English (which is fine I was the one in France so I should assimilate) but it did make it difficult. However, she was very nice. Not that this is against the hotel but the church bell chimes every 15 minutes.

The room was quiet and the bed was cozy. We appreciated that there was a refrigerator!

There was no hand soap or shower gel/body wash. The hand soap bottle was empty and the shower gel was filled with water. The TV could also be updated.

The location and cleanliness

Room too small- Very difficult to leave the room, spent lot of time to turn the special very small indoor metal key ! Dangerous to leave the shower room ! Breakfast 15 min. too late as I had to leave early !

Very nice room, although the bed (mattress) could be more comfortable (stiff neck in the morning (maybe it's my age)). Minimalist breakfast (not a minus for me), and the taste of the French baguette and croissant - just magic. Self-service bar for honest people. Very good idea.

The relatively small outdoor parking lot at the facility forces you to look for a parking space nearby.
