Staff hardly answered

The location was convenient to MDAnderson. The air conditioner worked well. The apartment itself was cute but needs some work.

The first thing that happened is we had traveled 11 hours to get to Houston and got there close to 2:30 pm. I messaged the owner and he advised that we could check in early but there would be a fee. The fee would be 55 if checked in at 2 , or pay 40 dollars after 3. I stated that we would not be checking in early. The owner advised he would be sending check in instructions a few minutes before 4 pm. At about 5 after 4 , I messaged owner stating I never received instructions and he advised would be sending them promptly and was apologetic for the delay. I had already paid over 550 dollars for 3 night stay. I selected this apartment based on location and by the pictures looked cozy, but looks are deceiving. I should of went by the reviews, it was rated a 6, but only had 4 reviews and only 1 was negative. Hind sight is 20/20, I have learned my lesson. After getting the instructions, I learned that we had to park on the top 2 floors of the garage (floor 6 or 7) and take elevator to 2nd floor. Would not of been a problem but when we found the elevator in the garage the door of elevator was half way open and would not work. I notified owner of this, and they advised they had no report of a faulty elevator. There were 2 residents that was at the elevator same time we were and they were aggravated that they had to take steps to their room. My husband who is a cancer patient, drove us to the 2nd floor, went in and found room an we unloaded car and finally got in to the room. The owner did offer to let us stay on the first floor but we had already moved all of our luggage in and were exhausted. Texas heat is brutal. Once we got in the room the couch which is suppose to be a sleeper couch, front was hiked up and back sunk down and you could see the metal bars underneath between back and front of couch. In order to sit on this couch you had to stack the decorative pillows up so your tail would not hit the floor. There was no mattress to support the frame.

Checking in was frustrating in the beginning, but the host finally replied after and hour and half waiting. It was good and easy after we spoke. Tvs didn't work properly, my family stayed without tvs in the home. Overall good stay,

The location

We had no key fob the whole stay and the property was contacted and did nothing about it. We could not check in not even 1 minute early or even get a response from them them. It was horrible. Communication was horrible. We were stuck outside of the property multiple times with a baby.
