Zee Design Villa & Spa Sanur

This place was amazing - highly recommended for others. Great layout and design. Immaculately clean. The pool and outdoor relax area is awesome. Highly recommend the in-room massage and also the in-house chef - which was very reasonably priced and the most delicious meal we had in Bali!

Myself and my 2 kids stayed there for one night and it’s the last time we spend any time in one of their villas. An incident ruined the holiday for myself and my children. We moved into other accomodation the next day and my children were so traumatised they would hardly leave the hotel. I arranged to be picked up from the airport through the villa management. When I arrived, I spent about 20 minutes looking for a sign from the villa for my driver and he wasn't there. I called and he clearly was driving to the airport in his car, late. I told him we'd wait in Starbucks at the airport. We waited. Nothing. I then called twice. No answer. I then decided to get a taxi. After about an hour of arrival a man knocked at the Villa door. When I answered and opened the door he literally forced his way into the Villa by pushing the door and myself and demanded I pay him money. He was so aggressive my children sought sanctuary in one of the bedrooms, scared out of their lives. He wouldn't leave. I asked him to many times but he wouldn't, getting more threatening. He took my daughters phone which was around the pool area and said he'd take it if I didn't pay him. I managed to get the phone from him after a slight scuffle and went to my children's bedroom and locked myself in. He left and stole my daughters necklace which has sentimental value on his way out. I did call for help from The Villa management but they took nearly 30 minutes to arrive. We spent the night scared, thinking he'd come back. It totally ruined our holiday. I know the taxi agency can be blamed, but you have a responsibility for choosing your subcontractors and your vetting just wasn't good enough. They employ aggressive thugs. The Villa is in a dimly lit side street which doesn’t help the feeling of security. We did not enjoy our stay. It was awful. We spent our time there being threatened or scared and payed a lot of money for it.

The staff were very friendly specially pak Kadek, very accommodating and genuine friendliness. We arrived late because of slight issues but he patiently waited for our arrival .

Some furniture on the patio was damaged and neglected and since we love privacy, it was not much privacy since staff was always there, housekeeper and pool maintenance during our one night stay .

Everything was wonderful! The pool was amazing. Beautiful authentic Balinese breakfast box delivered fresh each for breakfast. Lovely traditional experience.

I loved everything

The staff were very kind and helpful. The place is clean too with good facilities. Rooms and bathrooms are big.

We were there for 3 nights. Coffee capsules for the coffee machine were provided only for one day, one capsule per person. We have to purchase for the next 2 days from the staff as we do drink coffee every morning. A bit disappointed on this. It will be better if they can provide at least one capsule per person per day for the duration of the stay.
