La Puerta del Mar - Alicante

Great apartment. I know Alicante well but was still pleasantly surprised to find an apartment that’s so quiet when it’s so central. There’s good air conditioning (essential for our August visit), the apartment is simply but well furnished and is spotlessly clean. The beach umbrellas were a nice bonus that saved us money for hire on the beach! It’s on the fifth floor with a view of the castle and a three minute walk to the beach.

More pillows - 1 soft pillow per person meant I had a sore neck! There was a vacuum cleaner but I would have welcomed a dustpan and brush as I felt bad about leaving sand on the floor - hard to avoid even with rinsing off at the beach. On which note maybe some kind of rack for putting beach shoes etc when you come in would be good. But these are minor points - I’d be happy to stay here again.

Location is perfect, everything is so close 😍 Apartment is clean and fresh, beds are comfortable... Everything was just great 😁

Great location. Great facilities, spotlessly clean. Nice space to relax.

Nothing.

Two bathrooms, great water pressure, everything like described. Spacious feel and comfortable leaving space. We spend decent amount of time in the flat having long breakfasts and resting from days of sightseeing. Excellent central location across the road from the beach and round the corner from variety of food places. Bus stop to the fort, museum, roman ruins just outside the flat. Bust to the airport across the street.

It is just on the edge or tourist centre so you will get some noises from the street but not much. Neighbours decide to renovate and we had a bad luck of being woken up Mon morning at ungodly hour by workers using power tools literally few meters away, across the narrow lane between buildings. Weekend mornings were just fine :D
