Well lets start with the positives, there was good space throughout the apartment for 2 of us, the mattress on bed was good.

Where do we start...very unfortunately. I have complained to rental valley from day one. Main problems was there is a gas water heater in the kitchen and a woodburner in lounge (not that we needed the latter) but no smoke alarm or carbon monoxide alarm...we purchased our own as none was forthcoming from the rental company. There was also a burnt lampshade in the lounge, so fire risk was a distinct worry. The contact Magdalena was very bad at communication, she does the whole lot, clean/set up/manage, but that is not helpful when she is 30 mins away and there is a problem. Like the key for main outer door was broken, and still wasnt fixed by the time we left. We were told to use bbq tools, but there was none. There were chipped mugs/plates which we pointed out to Magdalena, no baking tins for oven, wooden germ filled chopping board. There was no bath plug and when we did get one, the tap does not change to fill a bath, so we had to unscrew the shower head to fill the bath. The toilet seat in one bathroom was full of little cracks, the other toilet seat was too small for the pan so will break before too long. The washing machine was full of smelly water with a bath mat in it, the microwave had chipped paint on interior . The terrace has weeds growing through and a used face mask on the floor. Bedroom & kitchen door unlocked onto a balcony entire time, with no keys, we didnt mind as 2nd floor..but some guests may! Apartment is 2nd floor, no lift, be warned, TV says its flat screen..yes it is, but do not expect anything other that Spanish/Portuguese channels. The 2 latter things were not an issue to us...but may to some guests. Tatty towels/ no bath mat/ one toilet roll in entire apartment/ poorly equipped. Very disappointed. Booking.com have taken on board all our complaints. We asked for a refund of half, but was only offered 165 euros which was approx 2 nights reimbursement. I took over 35 photos within 24 hrs of arrival.
