NEW Victorian Theme, 3BR, LRG Backyard close to PNC Arena, Downtown, and RDU Airport

We liked the proximity to downtown Raleigh—& the washer and dryer on site. Unfortunately, the positive review stops here. I do not often leave a review if it is not somewhat optimistic, and I can sandwich it with constructive criticism. As a nomad who travels frequently for extended stays, I am pretty good at making good lodging selections. This was one of the most disappointing places we have stayed in terms of description and images versus the reality of the furnishings, amenities, convenience, and overall value for our investment.

There were no towels in the house upon arrival, not even one. There are no dish rags, bath towels, or washcloths. The dishware was insufficient, with only two coffee cups for a three-bedroom home. There were not enough plates or other dishes. The quality of the house and furnishings was cheap and uncomfortable. The couch consists of three small pieces that are not connected, resulting in three separate seats that pull apart when lying on the sofa. It is not suitable for a long-term stay at all. The decor, while it appeared fun, trendy, and Victorian chic in pictures, was a huge miss. The abundance of animal prints in suits felt almost creepy. There were several broken items, including lights and sconces, a broken standing kitchen island cart, and remote-controlled lights in each room—without remotes, and those with remotes didn't work. We immediately informed the host and continued to communicate. They reported that they had been vandalized and robbed by previous guests. Although the host replied and attempted to address the issues, they sent the cheapest, smallest industrial-style white towels. Even after washing them, they were terrible and wouldn’t fully wrap around a child or adult. They mailed 24 washcloths and six thin towels, which were unacceptable. I have grace and sympathy for the owners, as anyone who would vandalize or steal from you or anyone else is disgraceful. However, I would also expect your cleaning staff to alert you to the severity and have it remedied BEFORE allowing the next guest to come in, pay your full rate, and have this be the experience for a month's stay. This could have been handled in so many better ways.

The home was well equipped with everything you would need.

While the place generally cleaned, the fans, refrigerator, and floors were not. I was appreciative that there were cleaning materials I could use to clean them myself.

The furniture and decor were amazing! The beds were super comfy and the house was spacious and nicely equipped.

There was not a direct entrance to the back yard patio from the house or steps leading up to the deck.

Great location! Very comfortable stay and the host is very quick to reapond.
