La Chaîne D'or

The situation was beautiful, right on the Seine. The hotel was well-maintained and the morning staff excellent. Nice to have a bath with both hot water and a plug. The 38€ menu was reasonably good value. The sunset over the Seine was gorgeous.

The main door was shut on arrival and did not have a sign to redirect you via the courtyard. The Booking.com price was €20 more than the room price at the hotel. The service at what prides itself as a "fine dining" restaurant was simply too informal and inexperienced.

Great location on the river bank.

It’s easy to drive by on the one-way system.

A return visit after twenty years. Beautiful position on the banks of the Seine. Booked the evening meal and breakfast offer. Delicious food and wine in a perfect setting. Very welcoming to our dog. Lovely comfortable room.

It was a shame we couldn’t check in until 5 but we knew that when we booked we would have loved to spend more time here.

Lovely location and view. Manager was very attentive and interesting to talk to. Dinner was very good. Good parking available.

Bed was too small and too close to the floor. Burglar alarm went off at 3am which disrupted our nights sleep.

We loved- 1. The view of the Seine from our room 2. Talking to Stephanie and Olivier and their young adult children who help them in the restaurant 3. Eating an amazing meal prepared by Chef Stephanie on the terrace. 4. The overall service and attention of the staff. 5. Very well run inn in an amazing historic structure. 6. The room was comfortable and had fun accents on the pillows of scenes from the Bayeaux Tapestry.

The unusually hot temperatures in early September. A fan in our room would have been helpful.

Breakfast was ok with a variety of breads and cereals.

Very expensive

The hotel was helpful when we added one to the party, and sourced suitable rooms at short notice. We always like staying here because of its position right beside the Seine.

Booking promised to cancel a booking but have not respond after 4 weeks.Owner had a long conversation about Booking.com and charged me 700€ fot 2 empty rooms 2 nights. 700€. Stay away and book another Hotel and don’t use Booking

Way more expensive than we thought it would be
