Casa di Batti'

We really loved our stay in Casa di Batti. Eventhough we came late at night, Fabrizio - the owner, he was super nice and he was willing to come at that time to give us keys. The flat was cozy and location is perfect. Everything is super close to you - beaches, supermarkets, train station. Definitely I recommend you to stay in Casa di Batti.

Tourist beware, avoid this place. The owner hid the actual state of the apartment - mould, mildew, water infiltration (the air itself was damp in there and hard to breathe in). His excuse for not being forthcoming about it was that it had happened recently and that the water leak had stopped. This timeline is dubious in itself, since the extent of the damage and the general unkept state of the apartment suggests the problem is far older. But the timeline doesn't matter. It it is no excuse at all to rent out an apartment in this decrepit state and hide it from your customers until the last second. When confronted about it, he was completely defensive, deeming it fine and refusing to pay any compensation. I've included some pictures so you can see and judge it for yourself. It was enough to ruin our trip and sour our impression of Alghero.
