Property was very clean and accommodating

The area was very bad very high crime dangerous! Someone got shot the next street over while we were staying here. Upstairs tenants are horrible. Yelling fighting partying all night long did not get much sleep while being here. Upstairs tenants came downstairs to bang on our doors and windows ready to start problems. We called the cops and they never came.

It was spacious.

The apartment had a strong musty odor. The beds were uncomfortable. The furniture was all very used. The place must have been converted from something other than an apartment. The light switches didn't correspond to the lights in the room. Whats going on here? This is not acceptable.

No dishwasher, no washing machine and dryer

The interior photos on the rental website match the apartment. The furnishings in the bedrooms are what some might call antique, others might call it dated, but everything was functional. The living room was updated and comfortable. The kitchen was also functional - stainless refrigerator and electric stove/oven, and it was well stocked with appliances, and dishes/tableware for nine. I requested extra pillows in advance, and they were there when we arrived. The location was very near Niagara Falls attractions by car, as well as the Rainbow bridge. No keys necessary, using keypad for external and internal locks is pure genius!

The house is located on the border between the part of Niagara Falls that is well maintained and the part that is not well maintained. I approached the house from the older industrial end of Portage Ave., and I was cringing at the run-down environment. I was worried for our safety. But, when we ventured out from the house towards the attractions, the environment was much better. However, I did not feel safe while in the house or going from house to car. I also experienced 2 problems - while the descriptions advertised TV and free Wi-Fi, the Wi-Fi only worked on our phones and laptops. The TV would not connect to the internet wirelessly and there was no ethernet cable provided. While the TV indicated it could be used for all the streaming services, that TV would not connect to the internet. I reached out through the app, and the owner suggested I reboot the router. Internet never connected to the TV. The other problem - plumbing backed up. During a shower, raw sewage (Brown sludge) emerged from the drain in one of the bathrooms. The stench was awful. 2 of the 3 bathrooms remained functional. The sludge receded in about an hour. The owners seem to not be nearby and were not attentive to the properties. I reported TV internet problem first evening response received the next day. I reported problem with the shower in the morning and I called to report it (not the app). Response received in the afternoon via the app, and no returned phone call. From afar having done nothing themself, they asked me if the TV ever connected to the internet. This was my second attempt using a rental property and I think I'm going to stick with a hotel. A hotel front desk responds timely. These issues actually were dissatisfiers which keep me from giving a rating greater than decent. My family suggested a lower rating, but to be fair, if I adjust my expectation to just 3BR 3BA, then I got exactly that, nothing more.

The interior was well represented by photos, the sectional was levels above all the other furnishings. Better quality than the beds.

Two of the three beds were not much better than a cheap hide a bed. Metal link suspended thin 5” mattress. So one bed of 3 was acceptable, however we all slept well.

Spacious and close to the Falls. We stayed on the lower level, so there were minimal steps to get in the front door and down into the front bedroom. The full sized fridge was cold, as well as the AC. The front room did have a king sized bed, and a bathroom was available for each room.

Parking: there was a lot of foot traffic in the neighborhood, and though nothing happened, there was the worry about it. 3 spaces in front of a dilapidated garage with no roof or on the street were our parking options. Kitchen: there were 4 forks (place sleeps 6), no bakeware, the cabinets were falling apart, and we were left to either eat stove top meals or eating outside the home. Furniture: I don’t care that it was used, but a recliner didn’t work (1 of 4), dining chair was loose, chandelier was hanging low in the dining area (and not over the table), piece in front bedroom had broken leg, and drawers smelled musty, just to name some things. Fixtures: lightbulbs were either out or too bright. Faucets were loose in the sinks. Screws for wall hooks were missing in bathroom (it still worked but spun around in wall). No closet space and nowhere to hang anything, you know, like for going out. Blinds were mismatched, broken and wrong sizes in some spots. Building: one door for entry/exit which is bad if there’s a fire. Flooring had gaps which over over time could lead to a tripping hazard, and floor was not level. One bedroom had gap where flooring was done but dipped and didn’t meet wall. Finishing: not so much a complaint, but an observation. If charging nearly $200 per night, you would think that there wouldn’t be paint missing, or paint marks where you overpainted, finished baseboards, screws, the subfloor being done before putting down planks, putting something under one of the secured doors so there was no gap, and fixing cabinets (inside and out).

Size and location of the property. It was really spacious.

The property is not maintained properly. The blinds were not OK. Restroom doors were not locking properly.
